A leaf

Image
Something to ponder:) Its fall. A season of the year where some people enjoyed because of the changing colors of the leaves. Some to yellow, some to reddish brown, some never changes and some to no leaves at all. While some could enjoy the colorful scenery that Fall brings, there are those who develop melancholy.  During fall, the sun gives a lesser sunlight than the summer. Some days are cloudy, and or foggy that brings nostalgic feeling. Have you ever felt excited over Fall rather than disspointed in its coming? Or you felt the other way~  Now heres a story of how a single leaf changes something. There was a small gingko tree on the top of a hill, beside an old barn.  Long time ago, that barn was full of farm animals for its owner, an old man who lived in a small house not far from the barn was living by himself. But due to his old age, he became ill and opted to sell his animals to the people down the hill. Not long after that, the old man passed away.

The Truth of Forgiving the Past...

The past cannot escape of who we are right now..right? Because of those experiences behind us  comes the new version of us. Of who we are and what we do, on how we act and react to things, on how we think, response or on how we deal with  things.      All of us are products of  our own past. It can either be from a good or bad pasts memories and or event. I want to point on the bad past in this blog.        People who tried to destroy others or hurt others might be coming from a trauma that they once experience. Some of those hurtful experiences might be a close friend who turned his back when you were in desperate situation or from a  traumatic experience from a  separated parents or can be due to an unfortunate event that we really  could not forget.              F rom all of these bad slope in our life do we realize what effect  they caused                         us? What did we do when we were in this difficult situation. How did we react and                   w

Have you heard about Kawasaki Disease?

Image
Based in American Heart Association, K awasaki disease (mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome) is a children's illness characterized by fever, rash, swelling of the hands and feet, irritation and redness of the whites of the eyes, swollen lymph glands in the neck, and irritation and inflammation of the mouth, lips and throat.   Named after Dr. Tomisaku Kawasaki, a Japanese pediatrician, the disease has probably been in existence for a long time, but was not recognized as a separate entity until 1967. The incidence is higher in Japan than in any other country. In the United States it is more frequent among children of Asian-American background, but can occur in any racial or ethnic group.  The heart may be affected in as many as one of five children who develop Kawasaki disease. Damage sometimes occurs to the blood vessels that supply the heart muscle (the coronary arteries) and to the heart muscle itself. A weakening of a coronary artery can result in an enlargement or swell

Legislative Election Day (임시정부 수립일)

Image
This April 13th, Wednesday marked as the legislative election day in South Korea. It is a nationwide voting day therefore all the public offices(some of the private as well), schools and some other establishments are all going to be close. South Korea's voting system is very easy and simple. There are booths set-up for people to go in to and they just have to stamp on the name of their desire candidate. One week before the election, the country has sent to all the electorates a letter size envelope. Inside the envelope are the ballots for voting. The electorates have to go to their nearest area offices called Dongsamuso, they also use elementary schools to set up voting booths if needed. The voting takes about 5 to 10minutes, of course it still varies depending on how fast your machine and a person is. Here are some of the photos.I took them on koreantimes.

Haeinsa Temple(Gyeongsang Province)

Haeinsa  ( 해인사 , "Reflections on a Smooth Sea") is an important Buddhist temple on Gaya Mountain in Gyeongsang province, South Korea. Founded in the 9th century and rebuilt in the 19th century, it is best known for its complete copy of the Buddhist scriptures, the  Tripitaka Koreana( 팔만 대장경 or  고려 대장경 )Buddhist Scriptures carved on the wood. Its still summer and I want to share a place (Haeinsa pronounce are H- IN-SA) where we used to go and definitely a place we would still be going in the next few years for our summer getaway(hahaha~)... This place is really cool even not in Summer season though what we really like about the place aside from the visiting the Buddhist Temple is the River that flows from the Top of Gaya Mountain down the place where we did camp for sometime(of course we did bring a small tent and a mat with us) after a SERIOUS WALKING,going to and from the temple. That river has really cool and clean water flowing in it,and If you are lu
